up with a couple of soda crackers, and a small candy bar, all washed down with an eight-ounce glass of milk. After he finished breakfast, Ed put everything in the sink, poured a little dishwashing soap onto a Teflon pad, and scrubbed the soup bowl, the sandwich plate, and the milk glass. Then he switched on the garbage disposal to grind up the few bits of food that he had scraped off his plate. He left the kitchen to go brush his teeth. But he felt something wet on his bare foot. Sure enough, he looked down and saw some water on the kitchen carpet. “What is this?” he said aloud. Opening the cabinet door under the sink, he saw no dripping water. He went to the closet and got a flashlight. When he shined the light into the cabinet under the sink, he saw drops of water on the sides of the dark blue steel cylinder. It looked like he had a leaky garbage disposal. To test his theory, he turned on the switch, and a stream of water flowed out of a seam onto the cabinet floor and then onto the kitchen carpet. Ed had a problem, but he didn’t have time to fix it now. He had to run serrands. He put some tape over the switch so he couldn’t accidentally turn the dsposal on again
一天晚上，我闲来无事，便坐在门前的草地上望着阴云密布的天空出神了。忽然觉得恍恍惚惚的，此时，一匹飞天的骏马从天而降，停在我的面前，我立刻振奋起来。我一面站起来，一面仔细地打量着它。只见：这匹马浑身雪白雪白的，银色的鬃毛，额头上镶着一枚闪闪发光的红宝石，背上长着一双白色的大翅膀，生着一双海鹰一般的眼睛，四条腿结结实实，蹄子又大又圆，像是钢铸的。“这飞马难不成是驮我驰骋天空的吗？”我心里不禁冒出一个大问号。这匹飞马仿佛能看见我心中的疑问，会心地点了点头。我欣喜若狂，翻身跃上了马背。在无边无际的天空中纵马奔驰。这是多么舒畅，多么惬意。远远望去，呀！天空中的一群群温顺的小绵羊，头儿埋在自己雪白的鬈毛里，在静静打着瞌睡……也许是疾驰的飞马把它们惊醒了，它们开始四处奔跑起来……不一会儿，天空中出现了一个美丽的牧羊女，长长的秀发如同瀑布一样在空中飘动着。她挥动着银色的长鞭儿，想把羊群聚拢到一处，可是羊儿们偏偏不听话，跑得更加快，更加欢了……牧羊女就追着羊儿在天上跑啊跑啊……飞马超过羊群，向着皎洁无瑕的月亮飞去。一路上，我看见了一个猎人，手举棒子，弯腿弓腰，上身前倾，正领着凶猛的猎狗在与金牛打架呢。再看东边有几位眉清目秀的姑娘，手里拿着金黄的麦穗好像在享受丰收的喜悦呢。正在叹赏不绝，飞马忽然停了下来。哦！原来我们已经到了月宫了。我隐约听见“沙沙”的砍树声，便循声望去，原来是月宫里的吴刚又开始砍桂树了。只见他用强健的双臂使出浑身气力挥动着一把巨大的钢斧，一下又一下向桂树砍去。可是桂树被砍过一下后又长好了，好像从来都没有被砍过一般，但是桂树却剧烈地摇晃着，一片又一片桂花被震了下来，飘飘洒洒，像是翩翩起舞的蝴蝶，向大地飞去。霎时，大地上面落泪一层层厚厚的桂花瓣儿，像是盖上了一层雪白的桂花被。我想带几片回去留作纪念，便从空中接了几片桂花，哪知这桂花一留到手上便化作几滴清水里。只见，一只小白兔披着雪白的绒毛，欢快地围着桂树又蹦又跳。吴刚不地砍呀砍。桂花不断地落呀落……我骑着飞马，向更加广阔的宇宙飞去。
